just 2 weeks ago i experienced surgery for the 3rd time in my life. the first 2 times were c-sections so i figured that this time would be a breeze. well, its true what they say...there is no such thing as minor surgery. i was told just before thanksgiving that i had ovarian cysts on both ovaries and they would watch them to see if they would grow. then over the christmas holiday my dr. called and said i would need surgery. awesome! so, 2 weeks ago they went in to remove them using laproscopy (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laproscopy). A different surgeon also removed an umbilical hernia (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Umbilical_hernia) and I also requested to have my tubes tied. Originally the doctors told me it would be a 1-2 week recovery. week #3 and i am still in some pain, and i have 2 small children to attend to. those of you that know me, know that i am somewhat of a busy body and its very hard for me to be still and not be working on something. probably i have overworked myself when i should have been lying down. my mom and my mother in law kept telling me to rest. i got loads of sleep yesterday and today i am feeling somewhat better.
kril and i are very lucky to have 2 wonderful children that don't require a lot. they like to take care of themselves. even kiera, at 18mo., gets upset sometimes when i do things for her that she knows how to do for herself. i am sure they will grow up to be very independent adults.
here are some new pics for all 3 of you that read my blog.
My children love DIRT!

Kiera loves posing for the camera
