Soccer and The Counting Crows

I find myself sitting on the couch watching the clock before picking up Declan from preschool. Next year he'll be in kindergarten and Kiera will start preschool. Wow! Declan loves preschool and is doing great. I had to carry Kiera out of the school screaming and crying the first week because she wanted to stay at school with Declan. Maybe that means she'll do well next year when its her turn.

Soccer has also been filling up a lot of our time lately. Declan is playing his 3rd season of soccer and is doing an awesome job. He scored 2 goals in his last game and is the tallest on his team. He loves it and is actually trying to get to the ball. Not like last year when he spent a lot of time sitting in the grass or on the sideline refusing to play. I am also playing soccer again. A friend of Kril's from work asked me to join her team and I said okay. Its coed indoor. I find myself doing a lot more running, not jogging, at the gym so I don't kill myself during my soccer games. Coed is something I've never done before and its been pretty rough, but also fun. So far, I've scored once and gotten a ball kicked in my face (my nose is bruised). We'll see how the rest of my season plays out.

A couple weeks ago I was finally able to see my favorite band, The Counting Crows, play in Dallas. Maroon 5 played with them and were both amazing! My friend, Kim, came up to go with me. The tickets were a gift from Kril for my 30th birthday. I've loved Counting Crows since I was 15 so seeing them in concert was kind of surreal. The seats were so good! I'll post some pictures soon.
