some more funny pictures!

Declan is trying to be sweet, but it seems he's only making Kiera mad.
Some of our very good friends, Dave and Amy. We all got together for Dave's 30th birthday. Love ya guys!
Kiera found the bunny ears. ha ha.

I wonder what she's thinking about.

yay for snow!

Declan found out that it was really fun to throw snow at Kiera. Kiera wasn't so happy about the snow being thrown at her.

The snow was beautiful early in the morning. So early.

Kiera wanted so badly to walk in the snow......until she started to walk in the snow.

What a fun surprise! We don't turn on the t.v. during the day and we never watch the news so it was a shock to find out that snow was coming. Unfortunately it fell after sundown and Declan had school the next day so he didn't get much time to play in the snow. But for the short time it was here, it was beautiful. I actually had to put on my snow boots (from South Bend) to take the dogs out because it was too deep for my regular shoes.

Its a rare sight in Texas.

yes, YOU are a blog stalker!

no, i really don't spend much time blogging. i don't do much to make it look cute, or creative. but....i do comment on my friends' blogs. if i'm amused or entertained or have some mundane comment to a story, then i will comment on a friend's blog. alas there are few comments on my blog. i know some of you are viewing, because blogger tells me how many views there have been on my blog. you are all blog stalkers! you look and move on. i'm not asking for hundreds of comments. just a couple now and then would leave me satisfied. no, my feelings aren't hurt. kril likes to say i'm dead inside and i don't have feelings and never even cry. no i'm not dead inside. my feelings are not hurt, BUT leave a freakin' comment already. i know you're out there.

my life and surgery

just 2 weeks ago i experienced surgery for the 3rd time in my life. the first 2 times were c-sections so i figured that this time would be a breeze. well, its true what they say...there is no such thing as minor surgery. i was told just before thanksgiving that i had ovarian cysts on both ovaries and they would watch them to see if they would grow. then over the christmas holiday my dr. called and said i would need surgery. awesome! so, 2 weeks ago they went in to remove them using laproscopy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laproscopy). A different surgeon also removed an umbilical hernia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Umbilical_hernia) and I also requested to have my tubes tied. Originally the doctors told me it would be a 1-2 week recovery. week #3 and i am still in some pain, and i have 2 small children to attend to. those of you that know me, know that i am somewhat of a busy body and its very hard for me to be still and not be working on something. probably i have overworked myself when i should have been lying down. my mom and my mother in law kept telling me to rest. i got loads of sleep yesterday and today i am feeling somewhat better.

kril and i are very lucky to have 2 wonderful children that don't require a lot. they like to take care of themselves. even kiera, at 18mo., gets upset sometimes when i do things for her that she knows how to do for herself. i am sure they will grow up to be very independent adults.

here are some new pics for all 3 of you that read my blog.

My children love DIRT!

Kiera loves posing for the cameraKiera and I (y'all like my new glasses?)

a visit to Abilene!

Check out the string of drool from Kiera's mouth to Addison's shoe! Kiera and Addison learning to hug.

I always love visiting Abilene. It's funny how I couldn't stand it when I was at ACU. Now, I've moved away and my family has doubled in size and I love to visit Abilene. The fact that my sister and her husband (Lisa and Andy) and their baby are there makes it fun too!

Kril, Declan, Kiera, and I went for a 3 day weekend visit. Woo hoo! So fun. Of course, I regret not taking more pictures. But, we did come away with some funny ones. The cousins had a lot of fun and we enjoyed watching them.

The weekend was great fun. We had lots of time to visit, drink coffee, watch the kids play, eat some very yummy catfish in Buffalo Gap, roast marshmallows, make cookies, watch movies, change diapers, see the Mayos new baby, listen to Andy's cop stories, and learn some Chuck Norris facts. I feel smarter now that I know so much about Chuck Norris. Ha ha! Check out Lisa's blog for a short list of Chuck Norris facts or go to http://www.chucknorrisfacts.com/

Here are some more pictures I took last week.

the ghost in the clock

i just have to share this story because it is so SO strange and i can't explain it. kril and i have a wall clock in our bathroom that we bought when we got married. it has had a good long life. about 1 month ago it stopped, so naturally we replaced the battery. of course, it started again and was fine. about 1 1/2 weeks ago it stopped again. kril and i decided it was time for a new bathroom clock. so for the last week it has been 7:35 in the bathroom. i was close to getting another clock but it's not a priority right now. a few days ago, kril asks me, "did you put a new battery in the clock?". I told him "no". He then tells me that the clock is working AND it was on time. CRAZY! Knowing Kril and his well-known story telling, I figured he was kidding. Nope. He was serious. What's crazier is that it's still working 3 days later. It was stopped for an entire week, started again and is ON TIME.

We just figured that we have a ghost living inside of our clock.
