kiera and declan both had a great time at this years fall festival at The Branch. kiera got a taste of cotton candy and declan, the cowboy, got to ride a pony. we did think that wearing real spurs for his pony ride wouldn't be the best idea. he had been telling us for the previous month that if you are wearing spurs when you ride a horse you can kick it to make it go faster. declan reminded us of this when he saw the small horse in front of him at the festival. kril and i made eye contact and almost in unison said, "let's take off your spurs" to declan. i think we had a picture in our minds of what could've happened while declan rode the pony with his spurs on. yikes! he willingly took them off without a meltdown. yay! kiera had a good time watching everyone run around in their costumes. all in all, it was a great day!
